SIRA is the last example of the well known Oceanranger range from Westerly. Her hull was laid in 2000 at Waterlooville. But, after Westerly’s collapse into administration her first owner had her moved to Meridian Trust where she was completed employing ex-Westerly staff and launched in 2002. The current owner (only SIRA’s second) has every one of the invoices resulting from the original build and a visit to her will testify to the fact that only the best equipment available at the time was used in her construction. The original build and the diligence with which she has been looked after since her launch allows us to say that SIRA is probably the best looking and most up to date Oceanranger on the market currently.
Down below she is a dream of a modern take on the best of classic British yacht design. The teak work is exquisite both in the quality of material, the design and the workmanship – deeply atmospheric and wonderfully comforting. A wonderful place to spend a cosy evening.
My wife and I have owned her for 12 years. She has been cruised extensively throughout the UK including Orkney and Shetland having this year completed a 5 year circumnavigation of the UK. We have loved and respected her but are upgrading to an equally lovely Oyster 45.
So it is with great sadness that we are offering SIRA for sale but know that if the new owner continues the love, she will provide copious amounts of trustworthy safe adventures for many years to come.
