Currently moored on Lake Windermere (on a very desirable mooring)
I am selling my Westerly Cirrus as a project boat, ideal for someone looking for a fixer-upper.
The hull appears to be in good condition, however it has not been professionally inspected for at least the last four years.
When I purchased the yacht, the windows were leaking, which had led to rot in parts of the internal woodwork. I have removed the affected wood and built replacement interior panels, but these have not yet been installed, so the interior is currently unfinished. The new components would come with the yacht.
The yacht still has its original 2-stroke engine. It starts relatively easily, but does smoke, which may be due to the fuel in the tank being over four years old. No further mechanical inspection has been carried out.
I have taken the yacht sailing a few times and it handles well under sail, but the boat will require a fair amount of work overall, which is reflected in the low asking price.
I don’t currently have a full set of detailed photos, but I’m happy to take and share photos with genuinely interested buyers.
I originally bought this yacht as a personal project and an introduction to sailing, but due to not having suitable storage nearby to continue the work, I’ve decided to sell.
Sold as seen. Viewing recommended.
