Westerly Griffon Mk I “Pippin”

Built in 1980 Pippin is a well-equipped and well-maintained example of this Ed Dubois designed 26 foot cruising boat. She has been extensively overhauled and modified over the last 26 years by the current owner who has sailed her extensively in the West Country, the Chanel Islands, and Northwest France; she also took part in and completed the Jester Azores Challenge in 2008.
Pippin is currently lying in afloat in Plymouth where she can be seen.

INVENTORY

Machinery

• Beta 20 diesel fitted in 2012.
• Shaft drive, through TMP 40P gearbox to 2 bladed propeller via Volvo shaft gland.
• Complete with Shaft Knife rope cutter.

Rigging and Spars

• Standing Rigging 6mm 1×19 stainless wire last replaced 2018.
• Running rigging is replaced as necessary and is in good condition.
• Rotostay IV Furling fitted in 2008.
• Original Kemp mast and boom with Barton Boom Struts. The boom has been modified to take third reefing line.
