The plan so far is to coral as many first-time yacht crews to the Isles of Scilly as possible and see if it will be feasible to sail in company with an experienced yacht crew. Hopefully a rendezvous will be possible along the Cornish Coast from where the passage out to the islands can begin. Nominally the 03-06 Jun 2022 has been scheduled for the time in the islands. Once there and subject to weather and individual needs, yachts can split up but remain in touch with the other yachts either by VHF or a WhatsApp Group set up for the event.
It is also likely that a second workshop will be scheduled on Zoom to finalise the Meet Afloat details.
